The house next door had been empty for a long time and everyone had 1 acre properties. It was listed for sale about 6 months after we moved in and i guess the realtor put out rat poison. There were lots of rats but my dogs handled it and they never were found in my house or barn. But when poisoned, the rats went everywhere on all adjacent properties. My 4 dogs died within 3 days. Owls, cats, stray dogs and cats, ferals i trapped and fixed, crows, some pigeons, a pig, name it and it was dead on our properties. It is something you will never forget or erase the pictures from your mind. The realtor never apologized. The city sent us a check of $500. This didn’t even cover clean up and they never handled the clean up of the next door property. We did. And thexnumber of rats was terrifying.
